National Digital Learning Day

Today was National Digital Learning Day. To celebrate, we used technology to enhance student learning and application of content knowledge.  We continue to use Maily, a kid-friendly iPad email app, to email our parents and peers.  We Skyped with Mrs. Kayser's kindergarten class at Greer Elementary, and they shared their projects on hibernation, migration, and adaptation.  We posted "I wonder" questions from their presentations to our class Twitter account for science expert feedback.  This afternoon, Mr. Thornton's kindergarten class at Meriwether Lewis "kinderchallenged" us today on Twitter to use Garage Band to create a music mash up of songs that we use during P.E.
