Honoring Honest Abe

In preparation for Presidents' Day, we are learning about two U.S. presidents: Abraham Lincoln and George Washington.  For the past three days we have been reading, creating, and "wondering" about Abraham Lincoln.  The giraffes tweeted "I wonder" questions to historians around the country, and we wrote about what we've learned about Honest Abe.  This morning we collaborated with a 3rd grade class at Burnley-Moran Elementary via Google+ Hangout, and they shared answers to our "I wonder" questions from our class Twitter account.  We also worked with 1st grade students in the BW Butterfly Class to create life size Abraham Lincolns (6'4'' tall!) with fun facts.
